I love learning foreign languages. There are so many beautiful and exciting things going on while you learn to speak and understand a language that is not your mother tongue.
We all know that it takes time to really master a language. In this short post, I want to discuss a little bit how you spend this time.
However, it is not about the language learning “techniques” or “exercises”. Let’s consider the following idea. If you think about where and how you learn a language, most likely it’s inside, sitting. Another form of our typical sedentary lifestyle. There’s also a high chance that a digital device is involved, and you need to stare at the screen for prolonged periods of time. If you think about it – it’s all health risks!
Add to the equation the consumption of junk food in between your language learning sessions, and you can easily gain some weight after a couple of months of “French immersion.” 🙂
There are some healthy habits that I try to follow as much as possible to stay in good shape. My strong conviction is that it is much easier to learn anything if your body is healthy and full of energy.
Recently, I published a list of good healthy habits on my other website Eyesight.training. There’s also information on how to use artificial lights and stay healthy.
